Mattroid | October 08 2024 | 3 / 5 | I attended a soft open night, so I'll revisit this review once they've officially been open for a while and have settled in. I'll start by saying it's a bar first, arcade second. Many of the games were either not on/working or had janky controls. Lots of LCDs in the classics, some with horrible viewing angles. About half the pins were also not working. Several stolen (50c) tokens but the bar would replace them. In short, the games could use a little love. Overall, a decent selection of 80s and 90s games with a handful of 00s thrown in, plus an NES in one corner. ICB was unfortunately down too. Some of the older games were on free play, though I'm not sure if this is expected long term or not. On the upside, there were no multicades that I noticed. I look forward to seeing where they go in the coming months but if it stays like it is now, I doubt I'll be a regular. That said, your kids and non arcade collector friends will probably have fun and the bar is well stocked. |
