You can gain experience points to unlock hidden characters with credits: 1 coin 1 credit every 100 experience points gains a level. After 4 levels it unlocks a character or it unlocks alternate colors for an unlocked character.
Unlock codes exist to speed up the process and can be found online, however they differ based on what the Naomi region is set to. They are not interchangeable: US codes will not work on JP and vice versa. A romhack that replaces one of the EPROMs with code to start the game at level 84 also exists.

Mat Mania | Taito | 1985 | Videogame | Sports |
Throwing your opponent into the ropes and simply letting him run into you will allow you to pick him up off the mat and perform any move successfully. Repeat until the opponent has been beaten.
Another Pattern that will give you a much higher score per match is by letting your opponent punch you once then dodge his attack by moving the player either up or down the ring and counter attack with two punches and dodge the opponent's attack. Repeat until the opponent becomes dizzy. Now is the time to take advantage and execute any two wrestling moves consecutively that require power such as body slam, brainbuster, piledriver or Irish whip. Note If you attempt a third consecutive move without repeating the pattern it will be unsucessful.
Cocoa Savage is a bit tricky. The Dodge and Punch pattern will not be very effective with him since he will counter attack with a shoulder block. The best way to attack Cocoa Savage is to let him come close to the player and give him a taste of his own medicine with a running shoulder block. Wait for him to partially get up on one knee and then Shoulder Block him again. Repeat pattern until he is beaten. If you would like, before lowering the Boom on Cocoa Savage get him close to the turnbuckle and perform the last Shoulder Block followed by either two Brainbusters or Piledrivers and finally either two knee drops or somersaults off the top turn buckle, then go for the pin.

You can also increase your score significantly by attacking. A racer who only drives fast and places high (first place for example) may not outscore an opponnent who is more combative but places lower (second or third place). To succeed you need a good balance of racing and combat skills.

Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class Of 1981 | Namco | 2000 | Videogame |
To play the original Pac-Man on this machine, move the joystick in this order on the "Press Start Button" that appears after you insert your coins: up, up, up, down, down, down, left, right, left, right, left. If done correctly, you should hear a sound, and Ms. Pac-Man will change color. Press the Ms. Pac-Man start button, and you will be able to play Pac-Man.
BUG: A bug exist in both Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class of '81 that allows a player to play during the Galaga demo screen and even reset the game. The demos are the same for both Galaga and Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class of '81, and the bug works the same way, but the result is a little different between the two Galagas.
During the Galaga demo, the Galaga character comes down and tries to tractor-beam up the player's ship. As soon as that trackor-beam starts, the player can take control of the ship in the demo. The player has two choices here and this will effect how the game handles this bug:
- If the player allows themself to be captured, the demo will continue as normal and they have the option of controlling the player ship or not. The player can choose whether to save their captured ship, try to complete the level, etc. The demo mode will complete after 30 or so seconds and the high-score screen will appear.
- If the player takes control of the ship and destroys the Galaga with the tractor beam, they will be able to continue playing until the "normal" demo would have completed. At this point the game will do one of two things depending on whether the player is on an original Galaga or the Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - Class of '81:
* Galaga - Some of the charactors on the screen will freeze while others are still moving and doing what they are suppose to be doing. This will last 15-20 seconds, then the game will go to the high score screen.
* Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga - The game will make a loud buzz sound, blank the screen and then show a diagnostics screen with the version # of the games, a RAM and ROM test, etc. This screen will stay for 10 or so seconds before returning to the high score screen. If someone needs to know the version of software on their boardset, this can be a handy way of finding out without opening the cabinet.
