The player pilots an old-fashioned biplane which he or she sees from behind and slightly above. The plane moves through constantly-scrolling clouds, over cities, etc. and shoots at a wide variety of on-coming aerial enemies.
Each game comprises of six novice bosses - Shotgun Jones, Giant Lee, Graham Remington, Marie Vixen, Jack The Slasher, and Harold Trickster - and four expert bosses that can only be challenged after you beat the six bosses. These experts are Gava Hornet, Diamond Gordon, Maj. Goodman and Morris Browning.

This game was originally manufactured in Japan but comes with American translations. Surprisingly in both versions, it shows American locations on every level eg. Atlanta, Oklahoma, Bishop, Buffalo, Key West et cetera as well as some more fictional ones Super Airport, Super Tanker, Memorial Valley.
The game is comprised of two light-gun style joysticks made to look like biplane gun turrets. Each joystick comes with a trigger to fire the machine gun in the game, a small red button to the right to fire a stinger missile, and a button to the left to drop a super bomb.
In this pursuit-style format, you choose a level and fend off enemies attacking you. You start with three lives but gain more as you kill the bosses. Losing all three lives prompts you to insert another coin before you continue. When you reach the boss, you need to destroy his aircraft in a designated time limit to win.
