Game Play

Use the joystick to move the vampire along the paths around the town. Once the vampire has come into contact with a woman, press the button to make the vampire bite the woman on the neck and drink her blood. There is a time limit for each round, so the vampire must return to his castle before sunrise. A bonus is awarded based upon the number of women the vampire has necked in one night. If the vampire does not return to his castle before sunrise, he will crumble into dust, losing that life, and no bonus will be given for that round.

The vampire must avoid the holy men armed with wooden stakes. If the vampire comes into contact with a holy man, the creature of the night will be paralyzed by the holy man's cross and will be stabbed in the heart with a wooden stake. The vampire also must not touch the holy fountain or the holy stone, otherwise he will turn into a skeleton or a bat, respectively.

There are two different kinds of women the vampire can stalk and claim as his victims: blondes and redheads. Blondes are worth more points than redheads, but blondes are harder to catch. Although the vampire looks evil and monstrous, he does not really start necking until he wraps his cloak around himself and his female victim.
