You have a shoot button and two pass buttons at your disposal. Two automatic pass cursors indicate the players you may attempt to pass the ball to. Special joystick motions enable lifting the ball up for volley and curve shots. The perspective of the game is such that when attacking upfield you can see more of the action. Players switch sides at half time, so both players get to attack in both directions. At the beginning of the one player league mode you have a number of points (typically three) in stock. When you run out of the said points, the game ends. Points are gained by scoring a hat trick. You lose a ball if you do not lead the game at half time and when a game ends. The goal is to beat the other 11 national teams.
