This game is known in Japan as Sonic The Fighters and was not released widely in the United States. It basically looks like Sonic The Hedgehog Arcade stepped into the Virtua Fighter 2 world. There are special moves for each character as well.
Choose one of eight characters and battle each of the characters (including a match against your own character -- which is a black and white copy of you) until you reach the final battle with Dr. Robotnik's (Dr. Eggman in Japan) metal Sonic.
