The motherboard can host up to four cartridges such as Sonic The Hedgehog. The Mega Play system is the JAMMA version of the Mega Tech system. However, the Mega Play and Mega Tech cartridges are not interchangeable.
This system is similar in function to the Nintendo PlayChoice or the Neo Geo MVS.

The dedicated cabinet uses two monitors. The upper monitor shows information and a 25inch monitor is used to display the game below. In kit form, the machine can be configured to use just one monitor by inserting only one cartridge. However, multicartridges can be used in a single monitor game, you just will not be able to see a menu of game instructions. The games can be swapped similar to the INeo Geo MVSI system.
