Description

A player controls RoboCop who advances through various stages that are taken from the 1987 movie. The bonus screen is a target shooting range that uses a first-person perspective. The intermission features digitized voices from the actors.

RoboCop was produced by Data East in 1988.

Hacks

  • Inspector Gadget - RoboCop is replaced with Inspector Gadget. The intro was changed, stages were edited, enemies changed and the music was also edited.

Trivia

This game was offered as a conversion kit. Rumor has it that 1000 were made. It was based upon the movie of the same name.

Cabinet Information

The side art is similar to the movie poster and the bezel contains many stills from the film. The cabinet above is a conversion of an original Bad Dudes Vs. Dragon Ninja. The conversion kits were released with either a curved marquee for the "Bad Dudes" cabinets or with a flat marquee for use in other uprights.

Conversion

The ROM Board can be removed and Bad Dudes Vs. Dragon Ninja can be replaced and vice versa.

Miscellaneous

The dedicated cabinet is similar in design to Bad Dudes with its unusual curved marquee that is bowed outward.
