There is a 1996 re-release of the original Raiden II. This version is a much smaller PCB than the original. Apart from that, the only differences are that the levels appear in a slightly different order, and the musical score is different.
There isn't an intro like on the original Raiden II PCB. The titlescreen shows: Raiden II NEW 1996 Seibu Kaihatsu.
