After you have identified the correct "?" box where it appears, you must make sure that the thousands number on your score matches the number of secret bonuses you have already received, before hammering the box. For example, in the first stage it must be 0, in the second stage it must be 1 if you have already collected the secret bonus in stage 1, otherwise it must be 0, and so on.
