The game has eight different bizarre characters that the players can choose to be: the Fighter, the Amazoness, Hercules, the Beast, the Werewolf, the Minotaur, the Golem, and the Dragon. Each character has different types of attacks, fighting techniques, and Super Moves. At the beginning of the game, players can choose either a one-player game or a two-player game.
In a one-player game, the player selects a character and afterwards competes in six matches against five of the other eight characters as well as a computer-controlled creature called the Hydra. After the player makes it past the first six matches, there will be three more matches where there will be three more computer-controlled opponents that will have to be conquered: the Doppleganger, the Demon and finally the Archmage. After the Archmage is defeated in the final match, the player character will become king or queen of all fighters and then the game ends.
In the two-player game, each player can select whichever character they each want. They can even be the same character in the same game. The players can also select one of six arenas in which to have their matches: Normal, Spiked Balls, Piston Rods, Spiked Walls, Ring, and Heatboard. One of the players have to win two out of the three rounds in order to win the match. After a player has won two rounds, the match is over and the game ends.
