Game Introduction
The sequel to Marvel Vs. Capcom. Characters from Capcom's previous fighting games appears in this sequel along with new characters like Cable and Son Son.
Game Play
The gameplay is similar to Marvel Vs. Capcom, but you can choose up to 3 characters from 56 fighters from the Marvel and Capcom Universes. You must battle through 8 tag teams. In the final level you will face three forms of Abyss, one of Apocalypse's horsemen. His first stage will be his traditional robotic-like form. The second stage will be a slimey, green alien. His final form will be a giant, pink beast. When you win, it will show Marvel and Capcom characters shaking hands, celebrating, etc. If you lose, Abyss might eat you.

Cheats, Tricks, Bugs, and Easter Eggs
You can gain experience points to unlock hidden characters with credits: 1 coin 1 credit every 100 experience points gains a level. After 4 levels it unlocks a character or it unlocks alternate colors for an unlocked character.
Unlock codes exist to speed up the process and can be found online, however they differ based on what the Naomi region is set to. They are not interchangeable: US codes will not work on JP and vice versa. A romhack that replaces one of the EPROMs with code to start the game at level 84 also exists.

Trivia
Naomi MvC2 features a different starting roster compared to Dreamcast. Likewise, the character placement on the roster is slightly different. The game is about 99.9% similar on console.

The Japanese version allows you to gain access to hidden characters such as Jill Valentine from the IBiohazardIIResident EvilI series by exchanging data with the Dreamcasts VMU unit. This feature is only available on Naomi's with JP BIOS enabled. A Maple adapter also exists to allow USB controllers as well.
