Game Introduction

Millionaire Joseph Joestar, his half-Japanese grandson Jotaro, magician Abdul, and ex-villains Kakyoin and J.P. Polenareff race against time to kill the evil Dio Brando and save Joseph's daughter from a curse. They are not powerless, however; they all have psychic powers in the form of "Stands" -- projections of their souls which posess amazing supernatural powers.

Game Play

You choose one of the six heroes, or one of the four villains, to go kill the vampire Dio Brando. Each character has a seperate, ongoing storyline. You control your character like in any other Street Fighter-type game, but special moves are done by using the "stand" button to call upon your "Stand" -- your psychic persona. Each "Stand" has a different power, from speed, to fire control, to stopping time.

Trivia

This game is based on a long-running Japanese comic series and anime, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. This game is based on part III of the manga and follows the story extremely closely (except for the alternate "villain" and "hero" storylines).

A running gag in the series is that characters are named after American music groups/musicians. However, for the US version, they changed many of the names slightly to avoid copyright infringement (ex. Chaca=Chaka Khan, Vanilla Iced=Vanilla Ice, etc).

Cabinet Information

The marquee features art from the Japanese comic series that the game is based upon: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

Conversion

This game uses the CPS-3 architecture which means that it can be converted to any other CPS-3 game such as Street Fighter III, Warzard, et. al.
