Game Introduction

An Arcade port of the NES version of Technos' Double Dragon arcade game. This game is a side-scrolling beat-em-up similar to the arcade version, only without the two-player co-operative feature in the original. There is a versus mode, however.

Game Play

In this version, there is a new Heart Point system added to the main game. For every 1000 Heart Points, Billy learns a new move such as Jump Kicks, Elbow Smash and a Renegade-style Pin Attack.

There is also a Versus Mode, which allows one or two players to compete against each other by choosing from one of six characters from the game: Billy/Jimmy Lee, Williams, Lopar, Lindas, Chintai or Abobo.

Enemies:

  • Williams: A generic punk. He uses the bat, knife, and dynamite.
  • Lopar: Similar to Williams, except he is a bit stronger. He uses an oil drum, crate, and rock.
  • Lindas: Female punk. Uses the bullwhip in teams.
  • Chintai: Kung-Fu master. Boss of Mission 2. He slaps you and can sometimes escape from your pin-attack. Throws knives in Mission 4.
  • Abobo: The big guy. He is very tough and uses brute force to fight.
  • Willy: The leader of the Shadow Warriors. He has the machine gun and is not afraid to use it.
