Do you have the rhythm? Then step up onto the stage and prove it! In this dancing game, move and groove to the music by stepping on the arrows as they scroll up the screen. Do well enough, and you progress to the next stage!
Start by selecting a song, and then a difficulty easy, where all songs are one foot on this setting, and instead of the polygon character randomly dancing around the screen, he/she/it is standing on an exact replica of the game's four arrow metal dance stage, and as the arrows reach the top, an orange circle appears over the arrows on the virtual stage that you are supposed to step on, and the character will step on the arrows, and you follow along, normal the standard difficulty or hard/expert, then the game begins. As the arrows reach the top of the screen, press the corresponding buttons with your feet.
The songs range from one foot simple they are rated in feet instead of stars up to nine, known as 'Catastrophic' songs, increasing in difficulty as far as speed beats per min. and are nearly impossible to finish without spending mass amounts of money or investing lots of time and money in the import or domestic home version and dance mats!

The cabinet features lights under the buttons that illuminate when pressed, neon flashing lights that flicker in tune to the music, as well as overhead multi-colored lighting to create a dance party feeling. But in this sequel, the border surrounding the monitor also features helpful hints on playing the game.
While this update does feature new songs from the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution series, 26 in all this American update loses three of the more popular tracks: "Boom Boom Dollar", "AM-3P", and "Butterfly." However, "Put Your Faith In Me" is still present in the sequel.
