Game Introduction

The game is almost like a cross between Monaco GP and OutRun, though probably not as good as either title. It includes some multiple routes as well as a map screen showing which was taken and how far you progressed. The landmarks (Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, stepped streets, the Street Cars, etc.) make you want to see the game to the finish. The 90 degree turns and up/down streets are done with some fairly 'guessy' maths (it's only a sprite scaler) so objects move around unnaturally at certain points in the game.

Game Play

Race through the Streets of San Fransico against other police cars. Each section must be completed within a certain time limit. At various points different routes can be chosen through the city. All the other cars on the road are police crusiers, although not all of them are in the race. The cars you are actually racing against have yellow 'flasher' lights. A continue feature is selectable from a DIP switch setting on the game board.
