International Arcade Museum® — Killer List of Videogames®

Dec 27-31, 2024 Year End Appeal: The Museum of the Game and The International Arcade Museum Library both launched great initiatives in 2024, but each is spending more doing so than they bring in. We're asking for your direct support for the New Year, as we'd like to sustain our momentum in 2025! Learn More

We are asking you to reflect on how valuable you find our offerings, whether you believe in arcade, coin-op, and video-game preservation, and whether you would be able to give at least $5. If you have given in the past and we still provide you with value, please kindly donate again. If you have never contributed, please consider joining our efforts today. If everyone reading this gave just $5, we'd be well on our way to reaching our goals. All that matters is that you choose to support our preservation efforts. Every contribution helps, whether it's $2 (a common first donation), $5 (the most common donation amount), $12 (the average), $20, $50, $100, or more.

A gang of ruthless outlaws, lead by a murderous madman called Landolf, have killed Bucks wife and children and it is up to you to help Buck avenge their deaths. Buck wants to accomplish his goal by killing every last one of the outlaws until all of them, including Landolf, are dead. Landolfs accomplices are Doug, Hawk, Mary, Bull, Riston, The Pac Brothers nothing to do with IPacManI, Lloyd, Smith and Gas.PYou must find and meet each of those outlaws in a showdown. You start out in the local town and venture through the Western wilderness to find and gun down those murderers. On part of your quest you enter a cave full of bats and then when you emerge on the other side, you will be in a primitive jungle with dinosaurs and other prehistoric monsters. There is also a scene where you approach a cabin where a young maiden will come out and then suddenly transform into a mystical monster. In another scene, you will approach the skeleton of Farmer John.PPress the fire button to shoot any enemy or deadly object that comes toward you on the screen. You must shoot an outlaw before he shoots Buck, but do not shoot the outlaw before he draws or it will cause Buck to get hanged or jailed. You must also shoot any dangerous animals or objects that approach Buck. If you shoot any innocent people or animals, it will cause Buck to get hanged or jailed. If Buck gets hanged or jailed for any of those misdoings, one life will be deducted for the offense. Shooting any other enemy before they attack can also cause Buck to be hanged or jailed.PThere are all kinds of strange death scenes that can occur if you do not shoot fast enough. Examples of these are Buck getting split into two halves by a flying tomahawk axe, a rattlesnake entwining itself around Buck and his horse, a scorpion giving Buck a funny haircut, etc. Short intermissions follow the death scenes. Example scenes include Buck all bandaged up, walking with a crutch, where the end of the crutch gets shot off and Buck, again bandaged up, waving a Red Cross flag while being carried on a stretcher by a short and tall cowboy. If all lives are lost, there will be a scene where Buck will turn into an angel and go to heaven and the game will end. If Buck makes it all the way to the final showdown with Landolf, you must shoot Landolf as soon as the coin hits the ground. If you kill Landolf, Buck will have his familys death avenged and he will ride off into the sunset.
