When the player deposits a coin, it drops down in front of the bat and can be knocked out into the baseball field. The coin can fall into Home Run, 2 Base Hit, Second Base, Foul Ball, or First base areas. The Home Run and 2 Base Hit were awarded trade prizes. A piece of gum is dispensed each time someone plays except when a Foul Ball is scored. The penny then returns to the player without any gum. Dispensing gum made this machine attractive because it complied with legal restrictions for strict areas at the time.
