Miscellaneous

Memory of the game: "As a teenager, I was the local 'pinball wizard'. I was really good, still am. "TAKE FIVE" was the machine I learned to play on. I must have played thousands of games without spending a quarter. Well... actually I spent the quarter, but always made back many more then I put in. Not by betting (although that did happen) but by selling the credits I had won to those wanting to play. "TAKE FIVE" made this very easy. The two targets in the upper left each triggered a row of lights (1,2,3,4) and if both rows were on 4 at the same time then the 'special' was lit on the right side. (top of the red painted triangle) One well placed shot and the special was yours. With good ball control this was fairly easy to do thanks to the simplicity of the games design. The machine had a 10 credit limit. So when it maxed out I sold all the credits or kept a couple to start over again later. on a good day I could make $10, which was a lot of money for a 14yo in 1977. "TAKE FIVE" was not the most exciting game to play but it made learning good ball control a must. I sure would enjoy taking a walk down memory lane should I ever run across one someday." - SDJ
