The hero, Talmit, must save the Princess (Wondra) and her Guardians from an evil mole in an amusement park. The game commences in fairly standard platform style. However, as opposed to bosses, you play mini-games like Janken and Burst the Balloon. There are also roller coasters which you ride while avoiding obstacles and enemies, and there are a selection of doors located arond levels which take you to another. Levels end with you jumping through a target; the nearer to the middle, the higher the bonus.
In most stages, your goal is to reach the stage exit within a time limit. Most stages feature a bullseye through which you must go through to clear the stage. Hitting the center of the bullseye is challenging but rewarding (7,650 points). Each section of the park has a roller coaster stage. You must avoid the signs and enemies and stay on the cars to reach the end of these stages. Each section also has a castle taken over by the enemy. Not only must you find the exit but you must also defeat the boss in a challenging mini-game.
Enemies are destroyed by jumping on them (careful, some cannot be stomped or require multiple hits) or by hitting them with your clones.
Powerups include boots that make you run faster, dragon wings that boost your jump and enable you to glide (hold jump) to a soft landing, and the clone ability.
Hidden throughout the stages are warp doors that can take you almost anywhere in the park, forwards or backwards.
Clones are very versatile. They will trail your movements unless you "whip" them by moving the joystick up or down. Clones will weaken (shown by their color changing from blue to yellow to red) and disappear as they are used. Besides attacking enemies, clones can also be used to collect the various foods that litter the stages as well as to perform the clone swing. To use the clone swing, whip a clone onto a swing point (a diamond with a circle and arrow within), move left and right to gain momentum, then jump to disengage.
You lose a life if you are hit by an enemy or its weapon, fall into water or lava, or run out of time.
At the end of each world you must play a fairly difficult mini-game, starting with the (probably) Alex Kidd-inspired Janken through to a Musical Chairs variant. For winning a mini-game, you free one of the fairies that runs the park, obtain a crystal ball you will need to defeat the last boss (King Mole) as well as go to a bonus stage where you must collect shooting stars for points.

On the roller coasters, jump and use your clone attack to take out practically the whole screen.
During bonus stages, the clone whip is handy for grabbing the large stars before they break into smaller ones.
The game is known as Talmit's Adventure in the UK.
There is at least one console conversion for the Sega MegaDrive/Genesis.
There are 15,268 members of the Video Arcade Preservation Society / Vintage Arcade Preservation Society, 9,671 whom participate in our arcade census project of games owned, wanted, or for sale. Census data currently includes 166,977 machines (7,000 unique titles).

This game ranks a 2 on a scale out of 100 (100 = most often seen, 1=least common) in popularity based on census ownership records.
Rarity and Popularity independently are not necessarily indications of value. [More Information]
Marvel Land runs on the Namco System 2 architecture.
System 2 comprises of two M68000's, an M6809, and a Hitachi 63705 (to drive sound). Music is provided by the YM-2151 while the digital effects are created by the Namco C140 (a custom 8-channel PCM chip).
There is one bank of DIP switches, of which two switches are primary. One freezes the screen, and the other activates service mode, through which all other game settings can be made.
