Players pick from sixteen different fighter jets, each of which has its own shooting pattern and special 'bomb' attack. Different shooting patterns include rapid-fire, spread, and more. Each plane is from a different "country," i.e. the USA, Japan, England, etc. The selection of jets is not unlike that of Aero Fighters, a very similar game.
The game plays more or less like any other vertically-scrolling shoot-em-up; simply shoot everything in your way, and try not to die. However, this is a particularily good example of the genre, probably due to the fact that it is by Namco.

The game is housed in a standard upright cabinet. The marquee shows a black jet flying through the blue sky. The control panel is similar with two black jets flying outward at a 45 degree angle from the center. Cutouts for two speakers are provided but only one speaker is installed.
