Game Play

This information was found at http://www.yesterdayland.com/ :Players would get five balls. Using the plunger, the ball was launched to the top of a sloped playing feild. It would then roll back down, being deflected by pins as it did so. The object was for the ball to drop into holes in the playing feild or at the bottom. You had to keep score in your head as there was no score keeping system on the game.

Being so small and with no electrical ways to prevent it, the game was often tilted to make the ball go where you wanted.

Trivia

This game is considered as the first pinball game. It shows where the 'pin' in 'pinball' came from. The game uses a ball and the playfield had pins, hence the name 'pinball' was born.

This game was invented in Chicago in 1930 by David Gottleib. The game was a hit, selling 50,000 units at $17.50 per unit.

A sequel was made in 1932 called Baffle Ball Sr. and in 1935, a Baffle Ball remake with electricity was created. This game also can be found on the "Microsoft Pinball Arcade" for PC's.
