Game Introduction

This game is, arguably, one of the best light gun games with regard to the undead. The players assume the roles of two vampire hunters who use eight-slug shotguns to rescue a small village from the vampires. It features some similarities to other titles like The House Of The Dead and Crisis Zone.

When players are shooting a vampire, the enemy's life guage will be displayed, so head shots are a must. Also, this game has a different tactic of rescuing civilians; instead of killing the pursuing monster, the victims' sacorma (attached to their bodies) must be shot. If the player shoots a victim's body, the person will turn into a vampire and attack. Bosses can appear anywhere and at any time during the six different stages:

  1. Snow
  2. Stone
  3. Fire
  4. Darkness
  5. Water
  6. Moon

Game Play

When hunting vampires, the targets that appear on the screen are the vampires' "weak points." These areas should be shot as quickly as possible in order to kill the enemy.

Players must watch for victims who are changing into vampires. They can be rescued if a player shoots the "sarcoma," but if the victim's body is hit instead, the person immediately turns into a vampire. If a player is successful in resucuing a number of victims, special events can happen and a victim may give the player advantageous information.

By defeating specific enemies or causing events, a player can enter secret routes within each of the stages. There are also objects in the stages that can shot and destroyed. Hidden within some of those objects are life bonuses or score bonuses.

Unlike previous shooters, the "boss" characters in this game can appear at the beginning, middle or end of a stage.
