Cute anime figures (a cute couple, a rock 'n' roll band, a mad scientist, a muscleman who thinks he is a baby, et. al.) respond to on-screen action as you try to fill your opponent's screen with balls. Rows of balls are constantly scrolling up, and you must clear them by lining up three or more of the same color. Some balls are trapped, and can only be released by being next to other balls which are matched together. The idea is to cause chain reactions, where by causing one match, additional balls are placed into a position where they match. When you do so, balls will fill up your opponent's screen in a way that is unique to each character. But beware! Your attack can easily be turned against you in a viscious counter-attack.
This game is similar to its prequels, but with one major change. Instead of controlling balls as they fall, there is a floating cursor that can pick up any ball on the screen and move it to a different location. In this respect, it is easier than its predecessors, but the speed at which new rows appear from the bottom makes it more difficult. Should you want additional rows of balls to appear at the bottom of the screen, the second button will make more rows appear.
